Today is less fun however! Back to the grind! We are in our studio, and Raighne is formatting and printing my first mini comic "Bigfoot + Manny". Ha ha ha, it is torture and it is all my fault. I made some of the pages the wrong sizes and proportions on the computer. With Raighne's corrections, it is slowly printing out. Wonderful, wonderful. But I am terrified to read it. What if it doesn't make any sense?
I will find out when I begin selling it on Feb 21 at the Walker Art Center's Multiples Mall: A Bookish Fair and from the online comics reviewers when I mail out review copies. You know, I always thought that getting a bad review would be the worst thing ever! Like that Richard Dryfeus movie where he plays Richard the III as a gay man and it flops and he gets drunk and throws himself around. I always imagined myself just like that scene, throwing myself around on my bed and hitting the headboard in the dark. But no actually that is not the worst. The worst is not getting any reviews at all!!!!!
One other thing that has changed about me, deviant art! I have started knitting and crocheting. It is pretty neat, I made my first crocheted amigurumi Teddy Bear but I changed the colors so that he looks like the devil. Eek, I hope my mother-in-law still likes it. It's a surprise for her! I also knitted a scarf for my grandma. But I ran out of the good yarn so it is a little weird. This is all o.k. I think I want to be a flawed fiber-artist. I like making mistakes. They're funny.

Just got back on dA after a long absence (well several long absences). Glad to see you're on here and creating more art.

I think you do nothing of consequence if you try and please some amorphous audience. I think you really have to do work that you like, and hope that people will come along for the ride. - Dave McKean
